Train like a triathlete with the Rochester Area Triathletes (RATs) at the new triathlon training series. The Durand Tri Training Series will be held every Sunday morning from July 5th to September 27th at 8:00 AM (new start time). The Durand Tri training will consist of a .25 mile swim, 13.11 mile bike, and a 4.37 mile run along the beautiful Durand Eastman Beach path. We will have three Rochester City lifeguards in kayaks for the swim and wet suits are required. The course parallels the beach and the water is never over your head. The workouts are FREE but you must be a RATs member to participate and applications will be available on site. Annual RAT's dues are only $20.00. As always, bike helmets are required for the bike course. This is a self timed event. We hope to see you there.
We will NOT be doing this event on local race weekends. 8/16 is the Sodus Point Tri and the Shoreline Tri in Hamlin is 7/26.
Parking is available at the Eastern most parking lot along the beach. It is across from Log Cabin Road on Lake Shore Blvd. We will have a person watching the transition area at all times to keep an eye on the gear. You may get directions here:

If you would like more information about this event or plan on attending, please contact Rob Smura. I would like to get an idea of the number of attendees to make sure we have adequate life guards.
