Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Mendon Ponds Park (Stewart Lodge). 2 distances – Formula 1 (2mR/10mB/1mR/10mB/2mR) or Super Sprint (2mR/10mB/1mR). The Super Sprint is great for beginners! And no “special” bikes are necessary – you can use your road bike if you have one, but hybrids and mountain bikes are also welcome. You just need to make sure you have a helmet!!

Go to www.fleetfeetrochester.com for more information, and for a link to register online. Pre-registration ends on Wednesday May 7th – current prices for both distances are $40 for USAT members and $50 for non-USAT members. On May 8th, the prices go up to $48 for USAT members and $58 for non-USAT members, so be sure to register early. Fees to register the day of the event are $55 for USAT members and $65 for non-USAT members.

We hope you’ll come and join us for what promises to be another great Fleet Feet Sports/YellowJacket Racing event!

Call 585-697-3338 or e-mail PatriciaWeberCPA@aol.com if you have any questions.

Just wanted to thank Cyndi @ Breathe Yoga for helping sponsor the biggest Pittsford Triathlon yet. I encourage all you tri folks to give yoga a try-it's helped me with core strength, flexibility, injury prevention, and stress management. The 2 yoga sessions I do a week are probably the hardest workouts of the week, although they are as challenging as you make them!

Does anyone know when the Friday Kershaw park swims start? Is there a web site or contact for the Sawbellies?

Just signed up for the Mighty Man Montauk 1/2 distance. If anyone has done this please let me know how it was. I'm originally from Long Island and Montauk (the very south east tip of long Island) is a great spot for a Tri in September.

If anyone else is traveling down there let me know. I'll be camping on the ocean for the event.

I'd like to keep in shape with tri's. I was a good college/high school swimmer, and I ran a 2:50 marathon when I was in shape. For x-mas my wife got me a fluid 2 trainer and suggested I get in shape for doing a tri (it actually was more than a suggestion. She said I was on my way to looking like I have a hobbit's body :( )
Anyway, if anyone would like to sell an old bike I'd appreciate it. I could also offer some pool/swim coaching in return for a good deal as I am the coach of a local high school swim team. I've go some neat technology such as an underwater dvd camera for stroke analysis and I have as much early morning pool time as I want until 7:00 am.
I'd like to start somewhat inexpensively as I have a mountain bike that drained me over the summer. Thanks everyone.
